Human Resources Assistant
Elk Ridge Resort is a 27-hole championship golf course located two hours from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, and seven minutes outside of Prince Albert National Park. Surrounded by the boreal forest, pristine lakes, and natural wildlife, the area is rich with nature and outdoor experiences.
Job Summary
Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Human Resources Assistant handles the administration of the human resource procedures and programs at Elk Ridge Resort. This position supports all the Department Heads, assisting with all aspects of human resources administration. Elk Ridge Resort has both year-round and seasonal staff, providing an opportunity to connect with a diverse staff complement. The ideal candidate will have a passion for human resources, ensuring all managers and staff have all the info needed to be successful.
Responsibilities
Provide Human Resources support to all managers within the organization as needed, ie. hiring, policy communication, performance management, etc.
Responsible for preparing and posting Job openings, reviewing applications, arranging interviews, and preparing offer letters
Assist with payroll processing
Preparing payroll reports as required
Oversee administration of Saskatchewan Blue Cross Employee Benefit program -
Staff Accommodations assistance – assigning rooms, sending info to new employees, rent calculation, etc.
Foreign worker program support
Ensure Human Resources policies are reviewed and updated on an annual basis
Assist with employee onboarding and orientation
Preparation of employment verification letters
Help maintain all employee records and Human Resources files , ensuring all are up to date.
Assist with Staff Events
Prepare Staff newsletter quarterly
Part of Occupational Health and Safety Committee
Oversee Workers Compensation paperwork as needed
Qualifications
1 year of Payroll and Human Resources experience required ; knowledge of Payworks Payroll system an asset
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to multi-task
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of Saskatchewan labour standards an asset
Knowledge of SINP and Immigration practices and procedures an asset

8 AM – 4:30 PM
Monday – Friday. Some evening hours may be required.
Compensation
$23 - $27 per hour based on experience
